Applying to StuyPrep is a simple, two-step process. All applicants must complete
Step One to be considered.

Application Steps
Step 1 (Student Application) is required and must be completed for an application to be reviewed. Step 2 (Recommendation) is optional but strongly encouraged. For teachers, guidance counselors, and school administrators submitting a recommendation, please note that recommendation forms must be accompanied by a completed student application in order for the student to be considered.
Step One
Complete the Main Application Form
Fill out the required Student Application Form to be considered for admission to StuyPrep.

A required student essay explaining interest in StuyPrep

Parental consent forms, signed electronically

Ability to save progress and return later
Once you begin, you’ll receive an email with a link to continue your application at any time.
Step Two
Request a Recommendation
Requested, but Not Mandatory: Students are encouraged to request a recommendation from a member of their school community, such as:

Guidance counselor

Teacher
-
Assistant principal
-
Principal
While recommendations are not required, they help us better understand each applicant.
