StuyPrep is free for all participants. Please read below for an explanation of the application process.

Mandatory Steps of the Application
We require all applicants to complete Step 1 of the application process in order to be considered for admission to StuyPrep (if you do not submit a complete application form, we cannot consider your application to StuyPrep).​​
Step 1 - Main Form
Includes a few basic questions, a required essay for the student that explains why he/she/they is interested in the program, and parental consent forms that can be signed electronically on this site. You may save your progress and continue on the application at a later time. An e-mail will be sent to you with a link so that you can continue your application.​ Click the 'Apply' button above to start.

The deadline to apply will be Friday, March 6 at 11:59 PM (ET).
Step 2 - Guidance Counselor / Teacher Recommendation
In addition to the main form, we request that students ask a current teacher, guidance counselor, assistant principal, or principal to help us with our evaluation. This is a voluntary part of the application process.

Please ask your teacher, guidance counselor, or administrator to go to our Recommendation Form to support your application to StuyPrep.

If you are a teacher, guidance counselor or administrator who has submitted a recommendation form for a student/students without being asked, please be sure to let the student and their family know that they must also complete a Student Application to be considered for the program.
